INTELLIGENCE BRIEFING:
The Four Crosses Inn was built in 1636 from old shipping timbers, some of which are purposed to be over 1000 years old. it was established as a coaching inn to serve travellers on Watling Street. This was an established thoroughfare and was originally one of the main Roman roads in the Uk. It had various additions added over the years and ceased to trade as a public house in 2019. There are many stories related to the Inn from local lore as well as paranormal sources, these have not been verified historically, however the Inn has been featured in several paranormal shows, most recently “Will and Ralph should know better”.
The building itself is set over three floors with a cellar. The cellar has been known to flood due to the water table and there are also attic spaces. Dark and damp spaces all contribute to the atmosphere of this location.
The building is now being renovated by the current owners, and is very popular with paranormal enthusiasts. Recently a new section of the house has been opened for investigators.

Tudor world is a living history museum in Stratford-upon-Avon, Warwickshire. It is located on Sheep Street in what was known as the Shrieve’s House. The museum represents life in Tudor England (approx 1483-1603) through interactive and sensory exhibits. There are all the sights, sounds, smells of Tudor times as well as costumed guides.
Tudor museum is in a timber framed house whose foundations date back to 1196. Most of the building is now Tudor or later, the facade is from 1470 but much of this was rebuilt after the Stratford fire in 1954, it was named Shrieve’s House after William Shrieve, an archer for King Henry VIII, who was its first recorded tenant in 1536. In the 16th century the building was a tavern run by William Rogers. He is believed to have taken inspiration from Shakespeare’s comic character Falstaff. Shakespeare’s daughter, Suzannah, was also a close friend of Rogers’ daughter.
During the Civil War and the battle of Edgehill, the house was used to billet Parliamentary soldiers, then the first mayor of Stratford lived in the building. The house eventually became known as “Falstaff’s House” before later being rebranded as the Tudor World Museum.

The Royal Arcade was built around 1899 but then became lost to the public around 1987, when it closed down in a state of disrepair. Developers moved in to renovate the site and the underground shops were discovered in 1999. They found an underground street with shops on both sides. Some still had windows in as well as front doors.
There have been many experiences logged by paranormal investigators since they were reopened to the public. There are many places to have vigils and explore alone as well as in groups. We are keeping our numbers low so as to maximise the experience for our guests.
