Four Crosses INN
The Four Crosses Inn was built in 1636 from old shipping timbers, some of which are purposed to be over 1000 years old. it was established as a coaching inn to serve travellers on Watling Street. this was an established thoroughfare and was originally one of the main Roman roads in the Uk. It had various additions added over the years and ceased to trade as a public house in 2019. There are many stories related to the Inn from local lore as well as paranormal sources. these have not been verified historically. However the Inn has been featured in several paranormal shows . Most recently “Will and Ralph should know better”.
The building itself is set over three floors with a cellar. The cellar has been known to flood due to the water table and there are also attic spaces. There are dark and damp spaces that all contribute to the atmosphere of this location.
The building is now being renovated by the current owners an is very popular with paranormal enthusiasts. Recently a new section of the house has been opened for investigators.
