PC PARANORMAL CASE FILE: Initial visit and assessment
Force: PC Paranormal
Location: Four Crosses Inn
Date/Time: 12/10/2025 1400-1500 hrs
Weather Conditions: Cloudy, wet, slight wind.
Investigating Officers: Claire, Pete
1. Incident Summary
During a pre event visit to the location, on a walk around with the owner, some strange anomalies were noted in various parts of the building. We had access at this time to both the new and older parts of the location. Strange sounds and feelings were noted in some of the rooms and this could not be debunked at the time.
2. Observations and Evidence:
It was noted in the main bar area a change in temperature and some banging noises. This did not appear to be caused by wind or anything else we could observe. There is at times considerable road noise in this room but the noises occurred when traffic was not passing. This debunks vibration from passing lorries or displacement of air hitting the building.
A heavy feeling in upstairs bedroom was noted and Claire did not feel comfortable in this room. Notably this has also been mentioned on several recent TV programmes concerning the inn.
In an upstairs bathroom wet footprints were noted on the floor. They were only in the middle of the bathroom and no other place. The bathroom was otherwise dry. The surrounding area had no water marks and the shower and bath itself were also dry. Oddly the mirror was steamed up as well. On questioning the owner they stated no one had used that bathroom and the marks could not be explained. On checking before we left the location the footprints had gone. No one had been to the room in that time. This anomaly has previously been noted at the location.
Visual Activity:
No confirmed human presence in the building other than investigators and owner .
3. Conclusion:
The Four Crosses is a well know location and does appear to have paranormal activity within its walls. We visited to ascertain suitability for our guests and it was only for a short time but it seems a worthwhile location for an investigation.
4. Recommendations:
Conduct further investigations at location.
Deploy additional monitoring equipment (audio/video/EMF).
Consider extended vigils in key hotspot areas
Final Note:
Officers are of the opinion that there is definitely something that is unexplainable at the inn and the site merits ongoing investigation to collate more evidence to present.
